About Tampa Bay Staffing Co.
Local staffing for Tampa Bay employers.
Tampa Bay Staffing Co. is a local staffing service for employers across Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties. When you call or send a request, it goes straight to a locally owned, insured staffing agency's recruiting team, who confirms the order, screens the candidates, handles payroll for temporary workers and stays on the account after the placement.
How we work
Rate before anyone starts
You get the bill rate or placement fee in writing. Nothing is sourced until you approve it.
One recruiter per account
The person who takes the order is the person who fills it and the one you call when something changes.
Screened, not just sourced
Identity and work authorization are verified, references are checked, and drug and background screens are run to the standard your role needs.
Replacements, not excuses
If a temporary worker doesn't show or doesn't work out, the recruiter replaces them. Direct hires carry a written replacement period.
Who employs the workers
Placements are made by an insured, locally owned Tampa Bay staffing agency. Temporary workers are the agency's W-2 employees, covered by its workers' compensation and payroll. Florida does not license staffing agencies, so the things to ask any agency about are its insurance and its payroll practices. Temporary workers placed through this site are W-2 employees of the agency, which carries workers' compensation and general liability coverage, withholds and remits payroll taxes, and verifies work authorization. Florida requires private employers with 25 or more employees to use E-Verify for new hires, and the agency runs it on every placement regardless of your size.
